AARP Rewarding “Random Acts Of Kindness” Aimed At Caregivers

AARP's Random Acts of Kindness ContestAARP has just launched an interesting campaign that rewards “random acts of kindness”  aimed at reducing the burden on caregivers.  You're encouraged to send AARP a short description of your “act of kindness” in no less than 150 words.  Describe how it made the caregiver feel special and appreciated, and include a photo.  The top 12 submissions (judged on the most original, creative, and impactful) will share a $10,000 reward!

I know what you're thinking… Why not give this money to the caregivers? Truth is I wondered this myself until I came to realize that the greatest reward a caregiver can receive is recognition of the great sacrifice they make on a daily basis AND for someone to make their day, week, or month a little brighter with a random act of kindness.  This is a reward beyond words.

We can't wait to hear about the impact your kindness has on your caregiving friends and/or family members.  And to all of you caregivers out there… We thank you!
