If you've ever shopped for custom fitted hearing aids, you know there are many hearing aid options to choose from.  Depending on you or your family member's needs, you may need an in-the-canal fit, or an in-ear fit, a behind-the-ear hearing aid, and so on… and so on… and so on!  Now that you know what configurations are out there, it's interesting to see how these custom fitted hearing aids are made.  Many of you know how expensive hearing aids can be, but did you know what goes into making the custom fitted hearing aids?  The guys at How Its Made (a very popular YouTube channel) put together a video to answer the question; How do they make custom hearing aids?  Enjoy!

  1. Hearing aids vary from $10 to $10,000. All seem propriatary and have slick salesmen but they are promoting only a brand or company. One company sells a pair for $3650 to nearly $10,000 and the only difference seems to be the way they program the aid to double and triple the cost. (Guess which one is best??? But it is the same unit with only 10 mi9nutes program on the computer. Smell scam, anyone?? I just found that my 2 year old Audibel is obsolete and noone recommends a replacement for the single lost one . Even at $1800$ it is better to purchase a new one. There is a lot of price comparison but no way to determine value as everyone seems to have their own brand for sale.? If your only tool is a hammer everything looks like a Nail?
