GetSafe offers medical alert systems for use around the home, with an optional choice of wearables. All systems run on 4G LTE cellular connection and don’t require a landline. Additionally, all of the systems have an in-home base unit with clear two-way communication during emergencies. The one-time equipment cost can range between $79 to $229.
GetSafe offers three plans: the Starter, Standard, and Select. Your living space will determine which one you decide to use.
This basic system is intended for users who want a reliable, but passive monitoring device that can be easily placed around the home. It’s a great starting choice for those who live in a smaller condo or apartment. With an equipment cost of $79 and a $24.95 per month monitoring fee, this system provides everything a user needs to feel more protected in the home.
The starter kit includes a two-way voice button and a 4G LTE in-home system that connects to 24/7 monitoring assistance in the United States. It also includes a voice-activated wall button and a personal help button, with the choice of several add-ons. The two-way voice button can be easily placed in at-risk fall areas like the hallway or bathroom. As an option, this system also comes with a complimentary lanyard button in case the user prefers a wearable. To learn more about this system, check out my review of GetSafe.
This is the second system offered by GetSafe. Personally, I’d go with this plan because it includes everything you need for extensive coverage, up to three bedrooms. For peace of mind, the kit includes two voice-activated buttons, one standard wall button, and a 4G LTE in-home system that connects to 24/7 monitoring in the U.S. It’s intended for the active user who spends a lot of time in at-risk areas such as the kitchen or the bathroom. Similar to the voice-activated wall button that’s offered in the basic GetSafe Starter plan, you’ll get an additional one that you can place in another at-risk area of your home.
This is the most comprehensive and expensive plan offered by GetSafe Select and is intended for customers with larger homes. For extra protection, the kit includes three voice-activated buttons, two standard wall buttons, a complimentary lanyard button, and a 4G LTE in-home system that connects to 24/7 monitoring assistance. Users can apply the standard wall buttons in their bathroom or stairways to get maximum coverage. Even though the equipment cost starts at $229 with a monthly monitoring fee of $24.95, this plan is worth the added coverage and peace of mind.
FYI: Fall Detection is an important feature used in tandem with medical alert systems. Read my list of top medical alert systems with fall detection.

Once contact is initiated, the monitoring center representatives can be heard over the two-way speaker as they check in on you. You can let them know it was just a test call, and they will help you with any other questions you may have.
