The Best Two-Person Walk-In Tubs of 2026
Kohler - Most Customizable
800-985-2943
What We Like Most:
- Venerable company with 150-year history
- Designed and engineered in the U.S.
- In-home free consultations
- Low 3-inch step-in threshold
Overview

Kohler doesn’t show examples of its two-person tubs online, but tubs can be custom-ordered to your specifications. You’ll have to discuss two-seater tub options (including size, style, features, and extras) in person during a free in-home consultation. You can choose from an array of LuxeStone bath walls, jet options, and the shower has three spray settings as well.
Older adults who prefer shopping without the assistance of a salesperson might find this frustrating. But it’s worthwhile to have a pro evaluate your bathroom, including your water heater, plumbing, and floor quality, to avoid any problems installing or using your walk-in tub. A thorough evaluation of your bathroom is even more important before installing a two-person walk-in tub, as it can take up a significant amount of space.
Kohler walk-in tubs have extra wide doors, so they’re less likely to hit you in the hip as you close them. By contrast, walk-in tub doors can be slender and challenging to close without hitting the bather in some competitors’ models. We also appreciate that, in addition to grab rails inside the tub, the outside of the tub has an inner grip built into the rail and the door, for safer entry and exit. In addition, Kohler tub door handles are very easy to use and lock in place. The lever-style door handle is easier to push down than a knob that requires more dexterity to turn.

Walk-in tubs made by Kohler do not include an ozone cleaning system, which kills bacteria, mildew, and mold. This is disappointing, but we loved that you’re able to customize your two-seater tub with the exact size, design, and extras you want. And we appreciate the safety and comfort features that come standard with Kohler walk-in tubs, such as its quick-draining technology, heated backrest, and one of the lowest step-in thresholds in the industry.
Pros
- Professional installation with Kohler-certified installers
- Will remove old tub and debris
- Extra-wide doors
Cons
- No ozone cleaning system
- Can only get exact pricing information during in-person consultation
- Two-person walk-in tubs are custom orders, which increase their costs
Boca - Most Luxurious
What We Like Most:
- Optional luxury features
- 3-inch step-in height
- Installation available
- 0 percent financing for up to 18 months
Overview
Boca technically offers only one two-seat walk-in tub model, but you can choose from several add-on options to ensure the tub works for you. On its own, the tub costs $15,000 to $30,000 with installation. My clients, however, had the option to add multiple luxurious features at an additional cost.

Some of those add-ons — such as the Bluetooth speaker that links with the lights to create a show — probably aren’t worth the money. (Why not just get a Bluetooth speaker for $50 and listen to music like a normal person?) Features like bubbles and air jets could be really soothing to someone with arthritis, though, and my clients love how the heated seats and backrests make their bodies feel after a long day.
Regardless of what you find necessary, Boca gives you the flexibility to customize your two-person tub, which has a lifetime limited warranty. Request a quote online or call Boca directly at 844-346-0020.

Pros
- Optional jets, music, chromotherapy, heated backrests, and other luxury features
- Quick drainage
- Automatic sanitization to kill bacteria
- Bidet for those hard-to-reach spots
Cons
- High retail price
- Extra charge for installation
Ella’s Bubbles - Best Budget Option
What We Like Most:
- Four models available
- Tubs as long as 80 inches and as wide as 36 inches
- Hydro and air jets available with every model
- Starting price around $9,000 without installation
Overview
Ella’s Bubbles offers four two-person walk-in tubs to choose from, the longest of which is 80 inches. All the options include quick drainage, hydro jets, and water jets, and you can add on an optional heated seat for even more comfort. I prefer the Companion and Escape models, which offer grab bars, for safety. The Tub4Two, in contrast, doesn’t have grab bars, but it includes 26 water jets, 18 air jets, and a two-minute draining time, so it could work for someone who is pretty mobile.

Ella’s Bubbles doesn’t display pricing on its website, but the same models are available on Amazon, ranging from approximately $9,000 to $13,000. Home Depot also carries the Companion tub, so I recommend shopping around with big-box retailers to find the best price. All the two-person tubs on Home Depot’s website are actually manufactured by Ella’s Bubbles, and Ella’s Bubbles is also sold on Amazon. You won’t miss out on in-house installation, since, unlike with Boca, it’s not an option with Ella’s Bubbles.

If you can’t afford to pay thousands of dollars up front, Ella’s Bubbles offers financing options through partners Hearth, Synchrony, and PayPal. Many of these programs offer 0 percent financing options, and applying typically won’t affect your credit score. Hearth provides financing up to $250,000, and some customers may qualify for 0 percent APR, though it’s not guaranteed. Still, there’s no harm in seeing if you qualify, especially since you can receive the funds in one to three days. You can get a free quote on the Ella’s Bubbles website or call 800-480-6850. Another option is to check the prices on Home Depot’s and Amazon’s websites and order from them directly.
Pros
- Multiple financing options available, some with 0 percent APR
- Four two-person models to choose from
- Roomy tubs ranging from 32 to 36 inches wide, and 60 to 80 inches long
- Hydro and air jets on every model
Cons
- Not everyone will qualify for 0 percent APR, especially if you have bad credit
- Two models don’t include grab bars, making falls more likely
Home Depot - Best with 0 Percent Financing
What We Like Most:
- Multiple models available
- Antislip floors and seats
- Grab bars
- 0 percent financing with Home Depot credit card
Overview
Boca Walk-In Tubs and Ella’s Bubbles are two popular companies for walk-in tubs, but you may be more comfortable buying from a big-box retailer you’re already familiar with. If that’s the case, consider Home Depot, which offers several two-person walk-in tub options.
Note, however, that the models available are manufactured by Ella’s Bubbles and the prices don’t include installation. Home Depot will only deliver them curbside, so you’ll have to pay for someone to bring the tub in, remove your old tub, and install the new one in its place. Keep those additional costs in mind as you look through the options available on Home Depot’s website, which range in price from approximately $7,500 to over $13,000, not including installation.

What I like about the Companion tub in particular is that it has grab bars, unlike the Tub4Two. It also has 16 air jets, 20 water jets, a shower wand, a quick drain, and a swivel tray for those times you want to eat and bathe at the same time. Throw in some chromotherapy, and that’s enough luxury features to rival the two-person tub from Boca.
To get started, you can order a tub from Home Depot’s website directly or go into a store. Expert installation is available, but Home Depot will connect you with a third-party installer in your area.
Pros
- Whirlpool and air jets
- Heated seats come with some models
- Financing options available through Home Depot Consumer Credit
- Built-in swivel tray
Cons
- Installation not included
- Curbside delivery only
Honorable Mentions
These aren’t the only two-person tubs you can buy, and there are some other manufacturers and sellers worth mentioning.
- Amazon: Amazon sells two-person tubs from manufacturers including Ella’s Bubbles, and its prices may be lower than Home Depot’s in some cases. Unlike Home Depot, however, Amazon does not set up installation for you. You’ll be completely on your own, which isn’t ideal with a tub weighing 240 pounds or more.
- American Standard: American Standard offers over 60 walk-in tubs, but none of them have two seats. Read our American Standard walk-in tub review to learn more.
- Kohler: The same goes for Kohler walk-in tubs, which are available only for single people.
- Lowe’s: Lowe's carries one-person walk-in tubs with multiple models available from brands including Ella's Bubbles.
Our Methodology: How We Evaluated Two-Person Walk-in Tubs
To evaluate the best two-person walk-in tubs, we used the following criteria.
- Safety features: Any walk-in tub should have a low step-in height, grab bars to prevent falls, and an antislip coating on the floor and seat.
- Comfort: I looked for tubs large enough to accommodate two people comfortably, with extra points if each person can control their experience with features such as hydro-massage jets.
- Price: Since they're larger than one-person tubs, you can expect to pay anywhere from $7,000 to more than $20,000 for a two-person walk-in tub. Higher-end models tend to have more features, such as jets, chromotherapy, aromatherapy, and even Bluetooth speakers so you can play music while you bathe.
Costs of Two-Person Walk-In Tubs
How much do two-person walk-in tubs, also known as companion tubs, cost? You can expect to pay between $7,000 and $20,000. Two-person walk-in tubs are more expensive than one-person tubs, which start at about $2,000, and they're about the same price as bariatric tubs made for one larger person.
Make sure you take installation costs into account when you price your tub. The only way to know for sure how much the tub and installation will cost is to request a quote directly from a manufacturer. To learn more about the costs of walk-in tubs, read my guide to walk-in tub prices.
Bottom Line
You deserve everything you want in a walk-in tub. If that means fitting two people, that’s totally possible. Bathing doesn’t have to be dangerous or lonesome. The best way to find out how you can get a tub as soon as possible is to contact companies directly and receive free quotes. You’ll be bathing with your spouse or helper in no time!
