While there are walk-in tubs for two people available on the market, popular providers like Kohler and American Standard don’t offer them. You’ll instead have to go with other providers like Boca or Ella’s Bubbles, or big box stores like Home Depot. While these tubs require a bit more research, we’ve done the heavy lifting for you.
Retail price: $10,930
Believe it or not, only two companies manufacture two-person walk-in tubs: Boca and Ella’s Bubbles. Let’s start with Boca.
Measuring 32 inches by 62 inches long, you can face your partner or helper comfortably with two seats. You’ll both be able to customize your 18 air jets and 10 water jets, heated seats and backs, chromotherapy, Vibe Bluetooth music system, and aromatherapy, making bath time not only safe, but also spalike. And those with skin conditions like psoriasis or eczema could benefit from what Boca calls MICRO THERAPY®, bubbles that clean your skin efficiently. Customize the tub to your liking, but keep in mind that the more features you add on, the higher the price will be (and it already starts at a pretty high price as of 2023, retailing for nearly $11,000).
Can’t afford the upfront costs? Boca offers 12-month financing with no interest, or, if you’re willing to pay interest, five, eight, 10, or 12-year financing. All tubs come with a lifetime limited warranty and are manufactured in the U.S. — specifically Woodstock, Georgia.

Price range: $7,635 – $9,590
Ella’s Bubbles offers four different two-person walk-in tubs to choose from, the longest of which is 80 inches. All of the options include quick drainage, hydro jets, and water jets, and you can add on an optional heated seat for even more comfort. In terms of safety, we prefer the Companion and Escape models, which offer grab bars.

If you can’t afford to pay thousands of dollars upfront, Ella’s Bubbles offers four financing options through Hearth, Synchrony, Klarna, and PayPal. Most of them have 0 percent financing options, and applying won’t affect your credit score. Hearth, in particular, has financing of up to $250,000, but while most customers are eligible for 0 percent APR, it’s not guaranteed. Still, there’s no harm in seeing if you qualify, especially given that you can receive the funds in one to three days.
Price range: $6,896 – $9,971
While Boca and Ella’s Bubbles are two popular companies to buy walk-in tubs from, you may be more comfortable purchasing a tub from a big-box retailer you’re already familiar with. If that’s the case, consider Home Depot, which offers 13 two-person walk-in tubs to choose from. But note that all of these models are manufactured by Ella’s Bubbles, and the prices of the tubs don’t include installation. Rather, Home Depot will only deliver them curbside, so you’ll have to pay for someone to bring the tub in, rip out your old tub, and install the new one in its place. Keep these additional costs in mind as you look through the 13 options available on the Home Depot website.
The good news is, 13 is a high number of options, so you’ll be able to choose from whirlpool and air jets, dual drains, heated seats, and a slew of other luxurious features.
How much do two-person walk-in tubs, also known as companion tubs, cost? On average, you can expect to pay about $7,000 to about $11,000 or more. Two-person walk-in tubs are more expensive than one-person tubs, which can start at about $2,000, and around the same price as bariatric tubs made for one larger person, which range from $4,000 to $7,000, according to the National Council on Aging.
Make sure you’re taking the cost of installation into account when you’re pricing your tub; the only way to know for sure how much the tub and installation will cost you is to request a quote from a manufacturer directly.
