US Mobile plans are highly customizable. The following chart represents a selection of plans.
Plan | Starting monthly price | Talk and text allowance | Data allowance |
---|---|---|---|
Talk and Text Only | $8 per line | Unlimited | None |
Recommended Individual Plan | $15 per line | Unlimited | 5 GB |
Unlimited Basic | $35 per line | Unlimited | 30 GB |
Unlimited Premium | $45 per line | Unlimited | 100 GB |
US Mobile does not offer a specific senior plan, but most plans allow unlimited talk and text. If you do not use the internet, US Mobile offers talk and text plans for as low as $8 per month. These plans may be ideal for people who need a phone only for calls and messages.
FYI: If you’re looking for an affordable unlimited data plan, check out our rundown of T-Mobile senior plans.
US Mobile is available only via the company’s online store, where you can view the plans.
If you wish to purchase a new phone, US Mobile has a limited selection of smartphones and iPhones. If you want to keep your current phone (or purchase a device elsewhere), then you can purchase a SIM card for $3.99. To activate your service, you simply place the SIM card in your phone and follow the instructions.
None of US Mobile’s plans require contracts. Instead you prepay a base amount for 30 days, after which you can choose to renew, change, or cancel the plan.
All plans (other than Unlimited Basic and Premium) include a $2 service fee and a regulatory cost recovery charge of up to $5 per month.
US Mobile has no overage charges. If you are running out of data, you may pay to “top off” your plan via instant text or app payments.
US Mobile offers coast-to-coast coverage by piggybacking on Verizon’s network, in both GSM LTE/4G network and Warp 5G speeds. That means it relies on Verizon’s network to operate. If Verizon is having trouble or does not cover an area, that will also affect US Mobile’s coverage.
US Mobile does not offer a specific senior plan, but its unlimited basic and premium plans offer similar features to T-Mobile’s 55+ Essentials plan. Neither US Mobile plan includes unlimited data like T-Mobile’s does. The unlimited basic plan, compared below, has a data limit of 30 GB.
US Mobile Unlimited Basic | T-Mobile Essentials 55+ | |
---|---|---|
Starting price | $35 per month | $27.50 per month |
Data speeds | Slowed after 30 GB | Slowed after 50 GB |
Price increases | Never | Never |
5G access | Yes | Yes |
Long-term contracts | None | None |
Age requirement | None | Must be 55+ |
US Mobile offers a wide range of cellular plans, including the option to customize your own. None of the plans require contracts, all include unlimited talk and text, and the simple installation kits let you keep your current phone and number.
That said, not even the most expensive plan offers unlimited data, so we’d only recommend US Mobile to people who use their phone primarily for talk and text.
