Jabra Enhance Hearing Aids Review
We’ve tested every Jabra Enhance model—from the budget-friendly Select 50R to their latest flagship, the Select 700. We’ve worn them in coffee shops, parks, and crowded restaurants, examining how they helped improve hearing. We also tried out Jabra Enhance’s remote audiologist support that’s included with every model.
The verdict? These hearing aids deliver prescription-level performance at a fraction of the cost.
Despite their low price — starting at $1,195 per pair — Jabra Enhance hearing aids performed exceptionally well in our tests, making them a great alternative to prescription hearing aids, which cost an average of $4,000 per pair.1
Savings Alert: The Jabra Enhance Select 700 is currently on sale for $1,795, a discount of $200.

Jabra Enhance Hearing Aid Pros and Cons
Pros
- Affordable pricing: A pair of Jabra Enhance hearing aids costs as low as $1,195, making them one of the best cheap hearing aids available.
- Long risk-free trial: Jabra Enhance lets you try their hearing aids risk-free for a 100-day trial. If unsatisfied, you can return your devices for a full refund.
- Bluetooth capabilities: Jabra Enhance’s Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids allow you to stream audio and make adjustments from your smartphone.
- Remote support: Every Jabra Enhance hearing aid comes with three years of remote audiologist support.
- Built to last: IP68 waterproofing means these hearing aids shrugged off a full submersion test in our lab. We placed them in a glass of water, dried them off, and they worked perfectly.
Cons
- Behind-the-ear design only: While discreet, Jabra’s micro RIE style still has a small component behind your ear. If you want completely invisible hearing aids, check out our Eargo review.
- Mild to moderate hearing loss only: Like all OTC hearing aids, these are FDA-approved only for mild to moderate hearing loss, not severe or profound loss.
- Smartphone required: While one could, in theory, use these hearing aids without a smartphone, you’d be unable to access remote support and app adjustments without one.

Purchasing Jabra Enhance Hearing Aids
You can purchase Jabra Enhance hearing aids by going to the company’s website or calling 800-854-2772. To start, I’d recommend taking their online hearing exam. Alternatively, you can upload existing audiogram results for immediate suggestions.
Based on the results of your hearing exam, the hearing health professionals at Jabra Enhance will preprogram your hearing aids. That means when they arrive on your doorstep, they’ll already be tailored to your particular hearing loss.

Using My Jabra Enhance Hearing Aids

Fresh out of the box, the Select 700’s small size really struck us. Even though they sit behind your ear, you could barely tell they were there.
We put the Select 700 through its paces in various challenging situations. At the park, the Auto Focus system was a lifesaver, keeping conversations crystal clear by cutting out wind noise. Conversations with others were effortless; even ambient sounds (birds chirping, distant cars, footsteps) weren’t distracting.
The coffee shop was the ultimate test. The automatic directional processing was amazing, allowing us to zero in with others while speaking with them and pushing all the other chatter from nearby tables into the background. It also kept us from feeling overwhelmed, so we could still keep track of what was going on around us. This clever balance is truly what makes the Select 700 stand out from simpler hearing aids.
We also tested them while watching TV and were able to easily adjust the volume in seconds with a quick tap on the Jabra Enhance app – without even touching them. This smartphone control was so much more convenient than fumbling with tiny buttons or switches.
The Select 700 truly lived up to its battery life claims. We could use them all day, even streaming music and taking calls, without needing a recharge. And when we did need to charge, the portable case came in clutch. The fact that it held three extra charges was incredibly handy for longer days out.
Jabra Enhance Hearing Aid App

Available for a free download on iOS and Android devices, the Jabra Enhance mobile app provides easy access to some useful features.
- Audio streaming: By pairing my hearing aids with the Jabra Enhance app, I could stream phone calls, music and other audio directly from my iPhone. Since the audio quality of the aids is so good, I found it particularly useful.
- Sound setting adjustments: Older hearing aids required manual settings adjustments, but I could adjust my Jabra Enhance hearing aids through the app. That means I could change volumes, frequencies and background noise reduction.
- Remote support: I could make appointments with Jabra Enhance audiologists through the app. They helped me figure out how my hearing aids could best integrate into my life. The service costs nothing extra for people who purchase the premium package.
Jabra Enhance Smartphone Compatibility and Technology Features
For tech-savvy older adults or those looking to get the most from their hearing aids, Jabra Enhance offers excellent smartphone integration across both iOS and Android devices. The free Jabra Enhance app works seamlessly with all three hearing aid models, allowing users to make precise adjustments without fumbling with tiny controls. During testing, I found the app interface intuitive enough for users with limited tech experience, with large buttons and clear instructions for adjusting settings.

All Jabra Enhance models feature Bluetooth, providing stable connections up to 30 feet from your paired device. That makes them excellent companions for video calls with family, watching shows on tablets or listening to podcasts. The rechargeable models excel here, because there’s no need to worry about battery consumption during extended streaming sessions.
Jabra Enhance Hearing Aid Returns and Warranties
Jabra Enhance hearing aids come with a 100-day trial period. Compared to other providers, such as Lexie hearing aids and MDHearing, this is a very long trial. During this time, you can return your hearing aids in their original condition for a complete refund. After this period, however, you cannot get a full refund unless you get a written opinion from an otolaryngologist stating that Jabra Enhance hearing aids are not helpful. The latter option must be done within a year.
Jabra Enhance offers one of the most generous warranties I’ve seen. The three-year warranty covers both loss and accidental damage. If your hearing aids stop working or experience damage, Jabra Enhance will cover the repair cost. If you lose your hearing aids or damage them beyond repair, Jabra Enhance will provide you with a new pair, and you have to pay only a $195 deductible. That said, the replacement can be done only once.
Jabra Enhance vs. MDHearing

In terms of affordable hearing aids, Jabra and MDHearing are two of our favorite brands. Both providers allow you to take an online hearing test and then get hearing aids shipped to your door, but they differ significantly in technology, support and pricing.
For starters, MDHearing hearing aids cost as low as $297 for a pair, making them far more affordable than any Jabra Enhance model. It’s important, however, to remember what’s included in the package.
>>Read more: The Best Hearing Aids for One-Sided Hearing Loss
MDHearing hearing aids are far more affordable, but they do not include any remote support from audiologists or other hearing specialists. Instead, they include customer support only from people who can help you navigate the controls of your hearing aids.
Jabra Enhance Select hearing aids include three years of remote support from hearing specialists. The professionals will have a better understanding of hearing loss and can better help users understand how their hearing works and how the hearing aids can work with it.
Additionally, all Jabra Enhance models are compatible with smartphones, which means you can adjust your hearing aid settings from your phone. Except for the Volt Max, MDHearing devices are not app-compatible, which means you have to manually adjust them by tapping on your ear.

Jabra Enhance vs. Eargo
When comparing Jabra Enhance to Eargo hearing aids, there are significant differences in design philosophy and pricing. Eargo specializes in nearly invisible, completely-in-canal hearing aids priced from $799 to $2,699, while Jabra Enhance offers BTE models starting at $1,195.
>>Read more: Eargo Hearing Aid Review
The most notable difference is design: Eargo’s devices sit entirely within the ear canal, making them practically invisible, while Jabra Enhance hearing aids have a small BTE component. The design difference, however, impacts functionality. Jabra Enhance hearing aids support full Bluetooth audio streaming for music and calls across all models, while only Eargo’s Link model offers Bluetooth streaming capabilities.
In terms of support, both brands offer remote assistance from hearing professionals. Jabra Enhance provides the service for three years with their premium package, compared to Eargo’s lifetime support at no additional charge. Battery-wise, all Jabra Enhance models are rechargeable, and Eargo also offers rechargeable options across their lineup.
For people who prioritize invisibility and are willing to sacrifice some connectivity features, Eargo’s completely-in-canal (CIC) design is appealing. If Bluetooth streaming and smartphone app control are essential, however, Jabra Enhance offers better connectivity at a lower entry price point.
Jabra Enhance vs. Lexie
Lexie and Jabra Enhance use BTE designs, but their connectivity approaches differ substantially. Jabra Enhance hearing aids offer comprehensive Bluetooth streaming for music and calls across all three models (Select 50R, Select 300 and Select 700). In contrast, only Lexie’s top-tier B2 Plus model supports Bluetooth phone call streaming, and none of their devices can stream music directly from smartphones. That’s ironic, considering the built-in Bose technology.
Support also varies considerably. Jabra Enhance provides three years of remote access to hearing specialists with their premium package, while Lexie offers customer support primarily during weekday business hours. Both brands include smartphone apps for adjustments, but Jabra Enhance’s app provides more comprehensive controls across different hearing environments.
For budget-conscious consumers, Lexie’s lower entry price ($299 for the Lumen model) makes it attractive. Jabra Enhance’s superior Bluetooth capabilities, extended professional support and longer trial period (100 days versus Lexie’s 45 days) provide better overall value for users prioritizing connectivity and comprehensive support services.
Are Jabra Enhance Hearing Aids Worth It?
Through their stellar sound quality, small profile and excellent customer support, Jabra Enhance hearing aids are some of the best you can buy. They also cost less than most hearing aids. Throw in Jabra Enhance’s generous return and warranty policies, and you have one of the best over-the-counter hearing aids on the market.

Our Methodology: How We Reviewed Jabra Enhance Hearing Aids
Our team of audiology specialists and caregiving experts tested Jabra Enhance’s hearing aids over a four-week period. We evaluated all three current models (Select 50R, Select 300, and Select 700) in real-world environments to assess their performance.
Testing environments included:
- Quiet home settings for baseline sound quality assessment
- Libraries with moderate background noise and ambient chatter
- Outdoor parks with wind and environmental sounds
- Crowded restaurants with complex acoustic environments
- Group conversations with multiple speakers at varying distances
- Television and music streaming via Bluetooth connectivity
We measured battery life by using the devices continuously until depletion and recording duration, including during active Bluetooth streaming. For sound quality assessment, our team members provided subjective ratings across various audio environments, paying particular attention to the Select 700’s Auto Focus system and automatic directional processing.
We conducted durability testing, including the IP68 waterproof submersion test mentioned in our review. Customer service evaluation involved multiple interactions with Jabra Enhance’s remote audiology team through the mobile app and phone support to assess response times, expertise, and quality of assistance.
We also tested the Jabra Enhance mobile app extensively on both iOS and Android devices, evaluating ease of use, adjustment capabilities, and remote support features. Additionally, we assessed the convenience and functionality of included accessories, such as the portable and desktop charging cases.
We compared Jabra Enhance hearing aids directly with competitors in similar price ranges—including MDHearing, Eargo, and Lexie—to evaluate relative performance and value. Our scores took into account factors such as sound quality, comfort, ease of use, battery life, Bluetooth connectivity, app functionality, customer support, warranty coverage, and overall value.
