• Care needs are assessed through an in-home consultation.
• Each visit must be at least three hours, and your weekly total must be nine hours.
• Sporadic care will likely result in having different caregivers.
• Due to current caregiver shortages, priority is given to people who need more hours of care.

Visiting Angels’ customer service was prompt and friendly, and we were not pushed to pay for additional services we didn’t need. Instead, Visiting Angels tried to assess our actual needs.

The cost of Visiting Angels home care will vary by state, caregiver availability, and the level of care needed. We were quoted a rate of $30 to $32 per hour for care in California. You’re required to have a minimum of nine hours of care per week, and each visit must be at least three hours.

If you don’t need personal care assistance, the price would likely be $30 per hour. I recommend checking with your local Visiting Angels to see if prices vary depending on the level of care.
