The Best Black Senior Dating Sites in 2025
If you’re single, Black, and over 50, you have an abundance of options when it comes to dating. Sometimes, however, it can be difficult to know where to get started. Our team evaluated today’s top dating sites to find platforms with thriving senior communities, diverse matches, simple interfaces, and unique features that make dating safe and fun.
While not every dating site on our list is exclusive to Black people or seniors, each offers diverse populations, a reputation for excellent matches, and other verifiable singles as eager to meet potential matches as you are.
Helpful Resource: To learn more about our favorite sites overall, read our guide to the best online dating for seniors.
The Best Black Senior Dating Sites in 2025
- BlackPeopleMeet : Most Affordable
- SilverSingles : Best Overall
- eHarmony : Best for Long-Term Relationships
- Match.com : Best With In-Person Events
- BlackSeniorDating.net : Best Free Option
Our Methodology
- Membership size: We selected dating sites with large user bases, particularly ones with sizable Black and mixed-race populations.
- Matching features: We favored sites that use personality surveys and advanced algorithms to find compatible matches.
- Cost: We chose sites with the best balance of affordability and probability of finding a great match.
1. BlackPeopleMeet - Most Affordable
What We Like Most:
- Made for Black singles
- Quick sign-up process
- Ability to specify which preferences are deal breakers
- Prices start at $9.99 per month
Overview
BlackPeopleMeet is a website where Black singles 18 and older can meet each other. The site is owned by Match Group (parent company to Match, Hinge, Tinder, Plenty of Fish, OurTime, among others). BlackPeopleMeet subscriptions start at $8.33 per month (for a 12-month premium subscription), making it a significantly more affordable option compared to its sister site, Match.
Standout Features
It only took us around five minutes to make profiles and start matching on BlackPeopleMeet. Right away, we appreciated that, when sharing our relationship status, there was no “it’s complicated” option.
After entering our basic information, we were able to specify:
- Our education levels, ethnicities, and religions
- Our smoking/drinking habits
- Whether or not we had kids
- What we were looking for in a relationship.
After, we filled in our partner preferences for the exact same categories, and we could choose which category was a deal-breaker. Even though BlackPeopleMeet is Black-focused, it’s technically open to any ethnicity. We appreciated that we could choose “Black” under ethnicity and make that a deal-breaker if we only wanted to match with Black singles.
Pricing
Had we signed up for a year, BlackPeopleMeet would have cost us only $8.33 per month, or $99.96 total. But even the three-month package is affordable at only $20 a month.

| 3 | $16.66 | $49.98 |
| 6 | $11.66 | $69.96 |
Premium Plan
| Term length in months | Cost per month | Total amount billed |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | $20.00 | $60.00 |
| 6 | $11.66 | $69.96 |
| 12 | $8.33 | $99.96 |
*prices as of October 7, 2025
If you’re considering a six-month plan, we recommend going with Premium rather than Standard — you’ll get more perks for the same price! BlackPeopleMeet also offers a flexible payment plan for premium subscribers.
Drawbacks
The main drawback we noticed with BlackPeopleMeet was that there weren’t as many features as Match or its other sister sites. However, that’s not a bad exchange for such an affordable price!
Our Verdict
If you’re serious about connecting with other Black singles and want a site designed specifically for your community, BlackPeopleMeet is an affordable option.
Did You Know: Some dating sites are entirely free! To learn more, read our guide to free senior dating.
Pros
- Made for Black singles
- Costs less than $10 per month (depending on plan)
- Sign-up takes only a few minutes
- Text message identity verification
Cons
- Not specific to seniors
- Basic (but effective) features
2. SilverSingles - Best Overall
What We Like Most:
- 80 percent of its users are 50 or older
- 381,000 new members each month worldwide
- Personality test
- Free version
Overview
If you’re a senior looking to meet someone of a similar age, check out SilverSingles. While it’s technically available to anyone 18 or older, eight out of 10 customers fall into the over-50 category.

Standout Features
SilverSingles is open to any race. To specify that you only want to meet other Black people, go into your preferences and check Black or African American. Even more specifically, we were able to tell SilverSingles how important this was to us on a scale of “not important” to “very important.”
Other preferences include:
- Religion
- Education
- Income
- Distance
- Age
- Height
- Smoking and drinking habits
- Desire to have children
Another thing we appreciated about SilverSingles was its personality test — while it was a bit long, it was nice to dig deeper than our preferences!
Pricing
A paid subscription is necessary to enjoy SilverSingles. While the site has a free version, it didn’t allow us to see people’s pictures or message them.
SilverSingles subscription prices are pretty average, starting at around $15 a month with a 12-month package.
SilverSingles Membership Pricing*
| Term length in months | Cost per month | Total amount billed |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | $34.99 | $104.97 |
| 6 | $19.99 | $119.94 |
| 12 | $14.99 | $179.88 |
*prices as of October 7, 2025
Drawbacks
SilverSingles isn’t specific to the Black community, and its free version is extremely limited. Not only do BlackPeopleMeet and BlackSeniorDating focus on matching you with Black singles, but these sites also offer more robust free subscriptions with unblurred photos and limited messaging.
Our Verdict
If you’re willing to pay for a premium membership, SilverSingles is a great way to meet other single seniors in your area. To learn more, read our SilverSingles review.
Pros
- Mostly people 50 and older
- Compatibility quiz
- Hundreds of thousands of new members each month
- Text message identity verification
Cons
- Not specific to Black people
- You’ll need a premium version to send messages
3. eHarmony - Best for Long-Term Relationships
What We Like Most:
- Detailed compatibility quiz
- Second-most popular dating site for seniors
- Most recognized dating website (not including apps)
Overview
If you’ve heard of one dating site on this list, it’s probably eHarmony. That’s because, excluding app-only dating services like Tinder, eHarmony is the dating site U.S. adults are most aware of.1 Why does brand awareness matter for a dating site? Because the more that people are aware of a site, the bigger the dating pool becomes.
Standout Features
You may be noticing that eHarmony isn’t specific to seniors or Black people. While that may seem like a disadvantage to some Black seniors seeking the same, we like to think of it as a net positive, as the site provides one of the widest dating pools out there.
eHarmony is also marketed toward people seeking long-term relationships, not just casual hookups. Unlike Tinder or Hinge, eHarmony took the time to get to know us with a lengthy compatibility quiz. While it took time to complete, we appreciated the higher-quality matches that were about more than just our looks.
Did You Know? Forty-nine percent of online daters ages 50 and older are dating online to meet a long-term spouse or partner2
Pricing
The bad news is that eHarmony, unlike BlackPeopleMeet and BlackSeniorDating, isn’t cheap. Prices start at around $30 a month, three times the price of the aforementioned sites, and that’s only with a 24-month Premium Light commitment.
eHarmony Membership Pricing*
Premium Light
| Term length in months | Cost per month | Total amount billed |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | $64.90 | $389.40 |
| 12 | $39.90 | $478.80 |
| 24 | $29.90 | $717.60 |
Premium Plus
| Term length in months | Cost per month | Total amount billed |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | $74.90 | $449.40 |
| 12 | $43.90 | $526.80 |
| 24 | $33.90 | $813.60 |
Premium Unlimited
| Term length in months | Cost per month | Total amount billed |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | $79.90 | $479.40 |
| 12 | $49.90 | $598.80 |
| 24 | $35.90 | $861.60 |
*prices as of October 7, 2025
Keep an eye out for a welcome offer — when we signed up, a pop-up appeared on our screen offering 50 percent off all Premium plans for the first month.
Drawbacks
There’s no doubt that the biggest drawback of eHarmony is its pricing. Also, eHarmony isn’t specifically designed for Black people or seniors, so you’ll have to be specific with your filters.
Our Verdict
Though it may be expensive, eHarmony is made for those looking for serious relationships. To learn more about this site, read our eHarmony senior dating review.
Pros
- Over 70 percent of U.S. adults recognize it
- Most popular dating site for seniors
- Has 750,000 paid subscribers and about 10 million active users as of 20173
- Compatibility quiz favors those seeking long-term relationships
Cons
- Expensive
- Subscriptions available at six months minimum
- Not specific to Black people or seniors
4. Match.com - Best With In-Person Events
What We Like Most:
- 37 percent of its users are 50 or older
- In-person Match Events
- Free version includes messaging and likes
Overview
Match is the only dating site on this list to offer in-person events as well as online dating services. These events occur throughout the year at various locations around the country, so you can combine your online dating efforts with some real-world experiences and let the sparks fly.
Standout Features
Match Events are available whether you’re a free or paid user (although paid users get discounts). There are opportunities to meet other members in person, ranging from less-structured happy hours to structured group activities.
The cost varies by the type of event, but the real value is in the people you’ll meet. Sometimes, you have to meet someone in person to see if there’s chemistry, and Match Events let you meet a lot of people in a short period of time.
Match is used by more than half of dating site users in their 50s and 60s, and over 40 percent of those in their 70s and older.4 Plus, according to Match itself, people ages 50 and over make up 26.5 percent of its total users — Match’s fastest-growing
Pricing
Although Match is super popular among seniors, its pricing is similar to SilverSingles, starting at around $20 a month with an annual Platinum package. While it’s not quite as inexpensive as BlackPeopleMeet and BlackSeniorDating, $20 a month is a standard cost for a dating site.

Match offers flexible payment plans for Platinum subscribers. There is also a Diamond tier (which comes with event discounts), but you will need to reach out to Match directly for pricing.
Drawbacks
Match lacks the comprehensive compatibility quiz of a site like eHarmony, so you’ll get matched based on more surface-level demographics and preferences.
Additionally, the site isn’t specific to seniors or Black people, although you’ll find tons of both groups. It may just take more filtering, especially with the free version.
Our Verdict
If you want to cast a wide net and don’t mind the lack of a personality test, Match is a great way to meet people both online and in person. To learn more about this site, read our Match senior dating review.
Pros
- In-person events
- Free version
- Quick sign-up process
- Most popular dating app for seniors
Cons
- No compatibility quiz
- Match Events cost extra
- Some people reported difficulty canceling their memberships and getting refunds
5. BlackSeniorDating.net - Best Free Option
What We Like Most:
- Specific to single Black seniors
- Free version includes unblurred photos, messaging, and likes
- Five-day trial available
- Paid subscriptions start at only $10.49 per month
Overview
We like to think of BlackSeniorDating as the polar opposite of eHarmony. Rather than being a wide pool (an ocean, really), BlackSeniorDating is a much smaller pond made for single Black seniors. Even better, its free version is actually workable by itself, although premium memberships are reasonably priced, as well.
Standout Features
We were impressed with how much we could do with BlackSeniorDating’s free option. Without spending a dime, we were able to see unblurred photos, send out likes, search for people, and actually message them.
While other sites like eHarmony have free versions, they usually lack essential features like unblurred photos and messages, so we were really happy that this more niche site offered such a robust free version.
If you’re willing to spend a little money, the premium features are worthwhile. Once we upgraded, we could:
- Send as many messages and “flirts” as we liked
- See all of someone’s public photo and public videos
- View entire profiles and social media handles
- See who liked us
If you want to really dive into someone before meeting them, seeing videos of them as well as their social media profiles is a great way to start.
Pricing
At around $11 a month, BlackSeniorDating’s three-month plan is much cheaper than eHarmony and Match, and on par with BlackPeopleMeet’s six-month plans.
BlackSeniorDating also offers a five-day trial, which costs only $0.70 a day for a total of $3.49. But note that if you forget to cancel it before the trial ends, it’ll get rebilled at $32.99 a month, making it the most expensive option after the first five days.
BlackSeniorDating Membership Pricing*
| Term length in months | Cost per month | Total amount billed |
|---|---|---|
| 5 days | $4.99, but rebills at $32.99 per month | $32.99 |
| 1 month | $32.99 | $32.99 |
| 3 months | $14.99 | $44.97 |
*prices as of October 7, 2025
When you first sign up, you will have six hours to take advantage of BlackSeniorDating’s welcome offer of 30 percent off any plan. That comes out to:
| Term length in months | Cost per month | Total amount billed |
|---|---|---|
| 5 days | $3.49, but rebills at $32.99 per month | $32.99 |
| 1 month | $23.09 | $23.09 |
| 3 months | $31.47 | $10.49 |
Drawbacks
Unlike eHarmony and SilverSingles, BlackSeniorDating doesn’t offer a compatibility quiz. It asked us relatively surface-level questions like our preferred body types and builds, heights, and age ranges.
While we appreciated how quick it was to set up a profile, we were matched with people based on our preferences, not compatibility.
Our Verdict
If budget is top-of-mind and you want to connect with single Black seniors completely free of charge, BlackSeniorDating is by far your best option.
Pros
- Designed for single Black seniors
- Free version is workable with messages, likes, and unblurred photos
- Quick sign-up process
- Five-day premium trial available
Cons
- No customer reviews on Consumer Affairs and Trustpilot
- No compatibility quiz
