As of 2023, Costco does not offer a senior discount. Both membership fees and in-store items are priced the same for seniors and younger people.
That said, there are a number of Costco perks that make the retailer a great place to shop for seniors.
If you’ve ever purchased a pair of hearing aids, then you know how expensive the devices can be — often costing upward of $4,000 per pair. Many Costco stores have their own in-store hearing centers, though, and their prices are often much more affordable than other audiologists.
You can schedule a hearing test appointment with one of Costco’s hearing specialists. After the test, the specialist will be able to recommend a pair of hearing aids and fit them to your hearing loss. Costco also includes free remote follow-up care to help users manage their hearing aids.
In addition to Kirkland brand hearing aids, which are made by the same company as Phonak, Costco also sells Jabra Enhance hearing aids, Rexton hearing aids, and Philips hearing aids.
In many cases, the devices cost less than $2,000 per pair.
Costco is famous for selling name-brand products under its Kirkland Signature label. The process, also known as white-labeling, means you can technically get name-brand products for much lower prices at Costco.
