Why Trust TheSeniorList?
Here are the reasons you should trust TheSeniorList when it comes to dating sites for seniors:
- We purchase memberships and use them for two weeks: We actually sign up for and use each dating website and app, unlike other review sites that just regurgitate a dating website’s marketing copy.
- We test out each feature: From taking personality tests to searching for matches and sending out likes and messages, we make sure each website and app is easy to use, even for the most tech-averse senior.
- We audit safety features: With a keen eye on security both on and offline, we look at each website’s privacy policy, ensuring that it encrypts sensitive data and verifies that users are who they say they are.
- We conduct a pricing analysis: We compare pricing based on term length and features, pointing you to the best deals, like the best free online dating for seniors, for example.
- We consult online reviews from ConsumerAffairs: To supplement our testing experience, we look at thousands of customer reviews on ConsumerAffairs, a website that helps people make buying decisions through “the wisdom of crowds.”
The Best Dating Sites for Asian American Seniors in 2026
- SilverSingles : Best for Over-50 Daters
- Ourtime : Best Free Option
- Zoosk : Best for Casual Connections
1. SilverSingles - Best for Over-50 Daters
What We Like Most:
- Over 80 percent of members are 50 and older
- Thousands of new members each month
- Available in over 20 countries
- Encrypted sensitive data
Overview
Older singles looking to date in their age bracket should check out SilverSingles, a dating site created especially for seniors. The company claims that over eight out of 10 of its members are 50 and older, although technically, anyone 18 and older can sign up.
While this website isn’t specifically for people of Asian descent, it does allow you to search for members of certain races. We could also select how important it was that our partner belonged to an ethnic group, from a scale of “not important” to “very important.” You can also tailor your search by filtering for age, distance, education, income, and smoking and drinking habits, making it easy to find exactly who you’re looking for.
One drawback of SilverSingles, however, is its pricing, which is more than twice the cost of both Ourtime and Zoosk. SilverSingles starts at $27.95 a month for a 12-month plan, while Ourtime starts at around $18 a month, and Zoosk starts at $10 a month, so they’re better options if you’re on a tight budget.
However, in our experience, no other site combines a large user base of seniors with advanced matching features. To learn more about our time using this site, read our full SilverSingles review.
Pros
- High proportion of senior users
- Data isn’t shared with third parties
- In-person events occasionally hosted in major cities
- Advanced search features
Cons
- Highly restrictive search features
- Not specific to Asian American singles
2. Ourtime - Best Free Option
What We Like Most:
- Free option shows unblurred photos and offers unlimited likes
- Strong user satisfaction ratings
- Mandatory SMS verification for security
- One-week and one-month memberships available
Overview

Match Group is a company that owns many of the world’s most popular dating sites and apps, including Tinder, Hinge, Plenty of Fish, and OKCupid as well as Match. We recommend Ourtime due to its focus on seniors, similar to SilverSingles.
If you’re looking to dip your toe into the world of online dating without putting down any credit card information, Ourtime is a good option. Its free version shows unblurred photos and lets us send as many likes as we want. Moreover, we could use the same search system that paid members do, allowing us to filter for Asian American seniors only. We got the same number of “Top Picks” per day, which are 12 suggested people Ourtime thinks we’d really hit it off with.
Of course, one major drawback of the free version is that, like the free versions of SilverSingles and Zoosk, it does not allow messaging. For that, we had to upgrade to a paid subscription. Fortunately, Ourtime is competitively priced, with plans starting at around $18 per month for longer subscriptions.
Pros
- Great security features
- Contracts as short as one week
- Most members are 50 and older
- Filters for ethnicity, religion, marital status, etc.
Cons
- No in-person meetups
3. Zoosk - Best for Casual Connections
What We Like Most:
- Over 40 million members around the globe
- Quick setup process
- Prices from $10 a month
- In-person dating events through CitySwoon
Overview

According to a Pew Research Center survey, 41 percent of online daters ages 50 and older want to use dating websites and apps to date casually.1 A quarter of senior daters want to have casual sex, while 30 percent want to make new friends.
If you simply aren’t looking to meet the love of your life right now, keep in mind that not every dating website/app is set up for casual connections. For example, EliteSingles and eharmony are for people seeking serious relationships. Lengthy compatibility quizzes might feel like a hassle if a LTR (long-term relationship) isn’t what you’re looking for.
If you want to get on an online dating site quickly and start talking to people around the world, we recommend Zoosk. It has over 40 million members around the world and is available in more than 80 countries. You can have messages translated in 25 different languages, including:
- Korean
- Japanese
- Chinese (Taiwan)
- Chinese (Simplified)
Similar to a dating app like Tinder, Zoosk let us quickly swipe through matches on a carousel, and we didn’t even have to pay to see unblurred pictures. And like Ourtime, Zoosk offers in-person events in cities with large Asian American populations, such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Jose, and New York City. Whether you want someone at home or you’re willing to fly around the world for a first date, Zoosk is ideal for fun, casual connections.
If you’d like to learn more, read our Zoosk review, or compare Zoosk vs. Ourtime or SilverSingles vs. Ourtime.
Pros
- Worldwide membership
- Translates to 25 languages
- Fast setup
- Low membership costs
Cons
- Not specific to seniors or people of Asian descent
- No personality test
Are There Dating Sites for Asian American Seniors?
There's only one dating site we could find that specifically caters to Asian American seniors: AsianSeniorDating.com. However, we don't recommend this site due to its lack of web traffic. This platform has minimal active users, which means that your chances of finding your soulmate are slim on this platform. And as with many dating sites, messaging is not free; the site’s free version only allows you to add a profile, browse profiles, and send “flirts.” So paying to join this site might not be worth it for Asian American seniors, in our opinion.

Other dating sites geared toward Asian Americans of all ages, such as Krush, appear to have a higher percentage of fake users, bots, and scammers than paid, moderated dating apps like Hinge or eharmony. But depending on where you live (read: larger cities will likely have higher Asian American populations), you might want to try an Asian American-specific dating app such as EME Hive, formerly EastMeetsEast. EME Hive is one of few apps not owned by Match Group, which is increasingly noteworthy in the dating app industry.
EME Hive didn’t make our list as a best dating app for seniors because it’s marketed toward Asian American professionals in their 20s and 30s. In fact, our research suggests that EME Hive has very few members over 40 years old.
You can find plenty of Asian American seniors on any reputable general dating site, however, by filtering by race/ethnicity as well as age. You'll likely have better luck on sites geared toward seniors, such as SilverSingles, than sites marketed toward younger people, such as Tinder, EME Hive, or TanTan (a Chinese dating app plagued with scam activity, according to users).
Bottom Line
The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that there are almost 3 million Asian Americans over the age of 65 in this country,2 and Asian American seniors make up about 5 percent of this population.3 Considering this smaller demographic, it’s not surprising that there are only a handful of dating apps created for Asian Americans, and just one is senior-specific. So it can be challenging to find another Asian American senior to date in some parts of the country.
If you prefer to just use one dating site, your best bet is to sign up for a general online dating site and take advantage of the filters. You can expand your options by trying out an Asian American specific dating app as well to find other single seniors in your area, as you’ll have a better chance of finding a partner fishing in a larger pond. Stay safe, have fun, and best of luck on your dating journey!
